NEW VENUE FOR EVENING ACTIVITIES
This year, thanks to the collaboration of the Sitges City Council, we are pleased to announce that our evening activities (milongas and shows) will be moved to a new venue, the spacious and very beautiful JARDINES DE TERRAMAR.
This change will allow us more space and time for longer activities, a higher quality dance floor (we will assemble a marquee with a 350 square meter parquet floor) in a spectacular and elegant setting, with plenty of parking space.

TRANSPORT SERVICE FOR EVENING ACTIVITIES
Every evening, the festival will offer an optional shuttle service to and from the centre of Sitges, (corner Av. Sofía with Passeig de la Ribera/Paseo Marítimo) and Jardines de Terramar. The service is inexpensive and will run frequently (10 Euros return pass for 5 nights, 3 Euros for 1 return single ticket). Please reserve your shuttle pass via our Registration form.
IMPROVEMENTS TO OUR TRADITIONAL "AFTER HOURS" MILONGA
Our traditional sunrise milonga in Paseo Marítimo will be held this year in a closed off, designated area with toilets installed onsite, resulting in increased safety and comfort for all participants.
Despite our improvements and the fact that the Festival will have to pay, as every year, in order to use this public space, the sunrise milonga will continue to be free for all registered festival participants (in possession of a festival pass or a single ticket for the night in question).
The Festival reserves the right to refuse entrance to this milonga to all those who are not participants.
Note about possible illegal activities: After a recent meeting with the Mayor of Sitges, we can announce that all activities running parallel to the Festival, on public or pivate space, without the appropriate permission will be immediately closed by the police. In that case (and we sincerely hope that this year –and never more- this situation will not arise), the Festival and the Sitges City Council reserve the right to bring immediate legal actions against all those who organize, publicize or take part in unauthorized parallel activities, or who try to boycott the normal running of the Festival activities.
MAIN FESTIVAL SHOW: "TANGO WITH THE STARS"
Jardines de Terramar

The central show of the festival (theatre format) in which all teachers will participate, accompanied by the Orchestra Ensemble Hyperion (20 artists on stage) Show lasts approx 1h. 40 min.

EXCURSION and AFTER-FESTIVAL MILONGA (MONDAY 23 July)
Coach Trip from Sitges to the beautiful, nearby region Alt Penedès, famous for the production of world wines and cava (Catalan version of "champagne"). We will visit an important cellar, take part in a wine tasting session and we will dance the sunset amongst the vineyards. (DJ. Toni Barber). An excellent activity for all those who decide to stay a few extra days in Sitges for sightseeing after the Festival.
The coach will leave Sitges at approx 18:00 hrs and return around midnight.

RAFFLE: WIN A TRIP TO BUENOS AIRES FOR TWO
The trip includes 2 plane tickets with Aerolíneas Argentinas and 1 weeks 5* accommodation in Hotel Panamericano, Buenos Aires. This prize will be held in a Raffle exclusively for festival participants registered for the night of Saturday 21st July and is kindly offered by the National Institute of Turistic Promotion (Ministry of Turism of the Republic of Argentina).
PHOTOGRAPHIC SERVICE
The festival will offer this year a free photograpic service to all participants through our official photographer Mathias Bertrand "Matute".
PARTNER SEARCH
The Festival, through our friends TANGO 2.0´s website offers you the possibility of finding a partner for classes in case you need. Just click here and follow the instructions. We wish you good luck for your search!
At our festival it is not necessary to enroll to the classes with a partner. Every year, the festival endevours to balance the total number of men and women in each class.
We use two complimentary methods to achieve this:
On some occasions we stop registration for the class for a specific gender when we see that the group starts to become unbalanced.
On others, we hire "taxi dancers" to help in classrooms.
Normally, with these measures,we have managed to keep the numbers even, especially for those who did not register at the last minute (because in this case the quota for their gender was already full for that class.)
However, in addition to these measures,this year and going forward, the festival offers a partner finder tool through the website of our friends Tangodospuntocero
This service helps to find partners for classes and passes contact information between them.
Please note that the festival recommends prior registration for classes even when you have not yet found a partner in order to ensure your place in the class you want and in order that the festival can foresee any possible imbalances and make any necessary adjustments.
